Halton Place was the family seat of the Horton family, built in 1770 and is now a listed building. It had various stone works carried out on the building throughout the years with major additions in the late 19th and early 20th century.
It is possible that Robert, being a Stone Mason, worked at Halton Place and there met Sarah?
