Charles Lovell Birch was born on Monday, 15th August 1949, in Birmingham, Warwickshire.[1] He is the son of Ronald Birch and Jean Callaghan.
Charles was educated in Edisford County Primary School, Clitheroe, Lancashire, in 1954.[2]
Then his education continued in the Ribblesdale Secondary Modern School, Clitheroe, Lancashire, in 1960.[2]
After leaving school he continued his education in the Blackburn Technical College, Blackburn, Lancashire, in 1965 taking a Day Release ONC Vocational Education Course in Engineering.[2]
Throughout his working life Charles attended many company arranged training courses. Then between 1998 and 1999 he took three intensive Executive Management Training Courses in Bahrain, Dubai and Qatar, with the Ashridge Business School.[2]
He attended annual Business Leadership Courses at the Cranfield University School of Management, Bedfordshire, UK, between 2001 and 2006.[2]
Charles was elected as a Fellow of the UK Institute of Transport in 2000.[2]
Charles was elected as a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in 2002.[2]
He retired in Clitheroe, Lancashire, in 2008.[2] Then spent the Summers in the UK and Winters in the Philippines for the next few years.
Charles emigrated from the UK in October 2015.[2] He immigrated to the Philippines in November 2015.[2]
